Sinulog has been the biggest event here in Cebu...for me it's bigger than Christmas and New Year combined!!!  People from different walks of life come here to celebrate this festive occasion of our patron saint - the child Jesus, Sto. Nino...

The feast goes on for 9 days...but the grandest of them all will be on the 3rd Sunday of January...this is when the street parade happens!!!

so here are some pics i took last year and some tips u might find helpful ;0)

Rain or shine...nothing can keep the people from going to the Basilica del Sto. Nino to pay homage to our saint...can it get any crowded than this??? so i suggest you guys should go 2 the basilica way early -- like 4am..or probably earlier than that...

the streets can really get crazy with all the people walking around everywhere...worst of the worst ang traffic s0 if naay kaila sa city - specifically near the celebration...ok if adto mo park sa car...enjoy to the max magHHWW (holding hands wyl walking..hmm? para dili mawala bahhh) and if walay kaholding hands -  pagwalking nlng...LOL!!! it would be very convenient also if you get a place to stay para if di keri na ang kakapoy then u can just rest whenever u want to..BUT unfortunately FULLY BOOKED na tanan hotels/ suites as of Dec..so congrats if makakuha pka ron na time...this is a pic i took from the hotel we stayed last year sa Golden Prince...and i couldn't agree more of what the sign says...

Since the hotel was just a 2minute walk from Ayala...so of course we went to the mall to check some stuff out...and grabeh kaoverpopulated ang mall...waaahhhhh!!! if naa mo balak makigpag-eyeball...goodluck! LOL

and of course the celebration will never end without the fireworks display...aside sa mga hotels...the grandest will be made in Abellana Sports Complex then sa Ayala Business Park...and bawal ang magpaduol maayo kay mapuling mo...i should know--biktima ko ani pirmi..hahaha...this was taken at @ Ayala Football Grounds around 9pm
